As winds and thunderstorms kick up tonight, there is the possibility of power outages in the area. Kentucky Utilities is reminding the public of ways to report a power outage, if your service goes out.
The storm that rolled through Central and Eastern Kentucky Monday afternoon left storm debris and high waters throughout Lexington. The city says traffic lights were out in several areas, including Winchester Road, Sir Barton Way, Clays Mill Road and Harrodsburg Road. Drivers are being asked to treat flashing traffic lights as four-way stops.
Lexington Mayor Jim Gray outlined the city's preparations and planned response to the approaching winter storm. People who park on the street are encouraged to park for free in the Rupp Arena parking lot so snow plows can clear streets.
