Memorial Tuesday for deputy killed in the line of duty

SCOTT COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – In Georgetown, the Scott County Sheriff’s Office will be closed on Tuesday for a 10:00 AM memorial service in honor of Deputy Caleb Conley, who was killed in the line of duty.

The Sheriff’s Office has announced that deputies will attend a memorial ceremony to honor Deputy Caleb Conley.

Deputy Conley was tragically shot and killed on May 22nd last year after pulling over a driver for a traffic stop on I-75 in Georgetown. The alleged driver, Steven Sheangshang, is charged with murder, with his trial set to begin next year.

Deputy Conley will be remembered during a tribute at the annual Kentucky Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony.
