An Ashland man was killed and his passenger critically injured Tuesday afternoon in a four-vehicle collision on I-75 that led to the temporary shutdown of all the northbound lanes in Rockcastle County, according to State Police.
Police say a semi carrying scrap metal overturned on the southbound I-75 exit ramp at Newtown Pike in Lexington on Friday afternoon. The driver wasn't hurt. The wreck led to the temporary shutdown of the exit ramp at Exit 115.
All southbound lanes of I-75 in Rockcastle County reopened late Tuesday night at the site of a seven-vehicle crash that killed two people and snarled traffic for hours. Both victims have been identified.
Lexington Police said wet roads may have a factor in a Tuesday afternoon accident that left a mother and toddler trapped in a vehicle against a rock wall on the inner loop of New Circle Road at Tates Creek Road. Traffic was backed-up for miles.
