LPD: Wet Roads May Have Been A Factor In Accident That Trapped Mother And Child

Lexington Police said wet roads may have been a factor in a three vehicle accident that left a mother and her toddler trapped in a vehicle up against a rock wall.

The accident happened just after 3:00 p.m. Tuesday on the inner loop of New Circle Road at Tates Creek.

Police said the woman lost control of her vehicle and came to rest up against the rock wall.

Police said a passerby got the woman and child out through the front windshield of the vehicle.

Police said the woman and child were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Traffic was backed-up for miles from New Circle and Tates Creek to Versailles Road while the scene was cleaned-up and investigated.
