According to the Better Business Bureau, A McCreary County man and his sister in Arizona said they were taken for hundreds of dollars while seeking bargains for Christmas toys on a website called "santastoydepot.com."
The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office said it was searching for a man who conned an elderly couple out of $1800. According to deputies, a man who claimed to be a telephone company employee did some work outside of the couple's home.
London Police warned the community about a reported scam. Officers said someone claiming to be from a utility company was calling people and telling the victim that he or she was behind on gas, water, or electricity payments.
The Sheriff's Office in Bourbon County said it has received numerous complaints about a phone scam which claims to be from the Sheriff's Department or the Department of Juvenile Justice. The callers are said to have a lot of private information about their targets.
