The Lexington Rescue Mission is taking about six staff and residents to assist their sister mission, The New Orleans Mission, which was hit hard and is low on supplies after Hurricane Ida hit the area Sunday.
The unit was deployed to help with civilian recovery, aid in directing traffic with local law enforcement, and assist the Louisiana National Guard. They’re prepared to help in whatever way is needed.
