Law Enforcement officers are served lunch and appreciation in Pulaski County

SOMERSET, Ky. (WTVQ) – On Friday, law enforcement officers in Pulaski County were thanked for their service with an appreciation lunch. County Attorney Martin Hatfield, who has a background in law enforcement started the event seven years ago in Somerset. This year, $15,000 in door prizes were up for grabs. The law enforcement officers are grateful for the recognition and Community generosity. They say it’s a moral builder for these departments that are facing a manpower shortage.

“I think most law enforcement agencies are struggling with recruitment. Times have changed, obviously we aren’t immune to that, but everybody that I’ve talked to from the sheriff’s office to the local police departments, they’re all having the same issues,” says Captain Danny Caudill, the KSP London Post Commander.

About 80-to-100 officers attended the luncheon.
