According to the Lexington Herald-Leader newspaper, one of the men charged in connection with the shooting that killed 15-year-old Trinity Gay was arrested on Wednesday after being released on bond last November.
A diverse collection of students at Lafayette High School have joined together to stamp out gun violence in Lexington, and will be holding a leadoff workshop Wednesday evening ahead of a campaign in middle schools.
Monday night work started on the mural of 15-year-old Trinity Gay. It has been about a month since Gay was shot to death outside Cookout in downtown Lexington. It had a big impact on the community. Many vowed to do what they could to end gun violence in Lexington. One artist is taking that promise to the next level, permanently painting it at Whitaker Bank Ball Park.
