Young professionals turn into kids on snow day

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)–Despite parts of Lexington seeing more than ten inches of snow on Friday, some adults were outside enjoying the elements.

One group of young professionals turned into kids again when they got involved in a snowball fight.

Caitlin Courtney, who works in the horse industry, says she has had snow days with friend Stephanie Love for the past four years. “It wouldn’t be a snow day without Stephanie,” says Courtney. Courtney was also joined by her cousin and a few others who work in every field from business to education. However, they all agree a good old fashion snowball fight is a walk down memory lane. “I feel like snow days make you feel like a kid again. It’s so fun and kind of exciting,” says Courtney.

Courtney and Love also brought their pets to the fun, a dog named Banjo and a rabbit named Bunny. Banjo enjoyed playing fetch with the snowballs, and Bunny took a couple of hops outside before heading back in.

Courtney says she and her friends plan to go sledding tomorrow at a nearby horse farm. She laughed and said it’s pretty extreme.

The friends say they hope there are more snow days this year so they once again have a chance to reminisce on their childhoods, but if not, they’ll be looking forward to next year’s winter storms.
