Gov. Matt Bevin has directed that flags at all state office buildings be lowered to half-staff on Saturday, Aug. 18, 2018, in honor of a Kentucky serviceman who was killed in action during the Korean War but whose remains were only recently identified.
Gov. Matt Bevin has recognized the sacrifice of a Kentucky soldier who died in the Korean War, but whose remains have just been positively identified and are in the process of being returned to his family in Bowling Green.
The public is invited to welcome home a group of Veterans from World War II and other wars to Lexington's Blue Grass Airport at approximately 7:45 p.m. on Friday. They will spend the day visiting memorials in Washington, D.C. on the 70th Anniversary of D-Day.
