Kurt Smith of Lexington was arrested on 12-11-20 on strangulation and domestic violence assault charges.  In December 2019 he was pardoned by then-Gov. Matt Bevin.  Smith was serving life for killing his 6-week old son in 2001 at the age of 17.  He also took part in a prison riot at Northpoint Training Center in Boyle County in 2009.
