Man dies in motorcycle accident

A contract worker at Toyota in Scott County was killed outside the plant on Cherry Blossom Way Thursday night when the motorcycle he was riding collided with an SUV, according to the Scott County coroner. The victim was identified as 33-year old Robert Griffin, Junior, of London.

No horses harmed in farm fire

An office on a Fayette County horse farm was destroyed by fire Thursday night, but horses in a barn next to the office were not harmed as Lexington firefighters contained the fire to the office.

Board focuses on vision for UK's future

By 2020, the University of Kentucky aims to aggressively increase its six-year graduation rate to 70 percent — an increase of nearly 10 percent over recent figures.
