Hearing Tuesday for former lawmaker accused of rape in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – In Lexington, an ‘off docket’ hearing is scheduled for Tuesday for former state lawmaker John Tilley, who faces rape charges.

According to court records, the hearing is set for 10:00 AM. Tilley, who previously served as a Justice Cabinet Secretary and state representative, was arrested in 2022. He is accused of raping a woman at a hotel in downtown Lexington. Tilley denies the charges.
