Dozens of schools closed or delayed Wednesday due to weather
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – More than two dozen schools canceled classes or delayed the start of the school day on Wednesday due to extreme cold on the heels of Monday’s measurable snowfall.
Temperatures Wednesday morning were forecast to be in the single-digits. A new record low temperature was forecast for Lexington at nine-degrees, which would break the old record low for the date of 13-degrees set in 1911.
