Warming station opened in Pikeville
PIKEVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – The West Care Emergency Shelter in Pike County opened as a warming station as dangerously cold air moved into Kentucky.
Anytime the temperatures drops below freezing, the shelter transforms into a warming station.
The shelter is open from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
The facility is located at 173 Redale Road in Pikeville.
The shelter is open to anyone who needs shelter from the cold for whatever reason, from homelessness to a lack of heat due to a faulty furnace or burst water pipes.
