UPDATE: Large Tenant Backs Out Of CentrePointe Lease

The CentrePointe development in downtown Lexington lost a major tenant.

Developer Dudley Webb said the engineering firm Stantec had pulled out of the office tower portion of the project.

Stantec had planned to close two Lexington offices and move 200 workers to CentrePointe’s office tower in the spring.

But according to Webb, delays in releasing bonds meant that the tower wouldn’t be finished until the fall.

Stantec said it had no choice but to find another location.
