Temporary Warming Facility Opening at Georgetown College

A temporary warming facility is being set up for those who may otherwise be left out in the cold.

Georgetown College’s John L. Hill Chapel is opening its basement to provide relief for anyone needing a break from sub-freezing temperatures.

Plans are also being made for a possible overnight shelter to be set up in Scott County.

A blast from winter has made conditions almost unbearable, dropping temperatures into the teens recently with expected drops into the single digits next week.
