Teachers learn computer science program

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky teachers are taking a week out of summer break to spend time with computers,  but they’re not surfing the internet – they’re learning how to get their students interested in computer science.

Forty teachers are at UK learning a new curriculum called "Project Lead the Way."  The program is designed to get students into computer science as early as kindergarten.  Directors say it’s important since careers in the field are outpacing people qualified to fill them.
