One mission of mercy led to another in Northern Fayette County tonight. The Lexington Fire Department was called to Berea Road, off Iron Works Pike, because of cars stuck in high waters. By the time firefighters arrived, they say the drivers had freed themselves.
Franklin County is among many Central Kentucky communities dealing with high waters. The sheriff's office is asking everyone to stay off of the roads. It says there are major flooding issues on city and county roadways.
