Suspects wanted in forged check scheme
LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Four men are wanted in connection to a forged check scheme in Laurel County.
According to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office, they are searching for 60-year-old David Hosey, and 50-year-old Leo Hull, both from Lexington, as well as 47-year-old Mitchell Followell from Harrodsburg and 22-year-old Benjamin Knight from Dry Ridge.
Officials say are all accused of using the identity of a local church in order to forge counterfeit checks, which they then cashed or attempted to cash at a local bank.
Deputies claim the four have illegally withdrawn more than $15,000.
Anyone with any information on the suspects is asked to contact the Laurel County Sheriff’s office at 606-864-6600. They say all information will be strictly confidential.
