Social Security scam reported in Lee County
BEATTYVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – Beattyville Police are warning people about a scam using the Social Security Administration’s name.
Police say people in Lee County are being contacted by someone claiming to be with the Social Security Administration.
They’re told there is a warrant out on them and they’re asked for their social security number, date of birth and other personal information. Don’t fall for it. It’s a scam.
Police remind people never to give our personal or financial information to someone you don’t know. Protect your identity.
