Traffic delays Tuesday on New Circle, Nicholasville, Military roads

FAYETTE/JESSAMINE COUNTIES. Ky. (WTVQ) – The state has rescheduled some sign work from original plans, and the work on two busy roads could cause traffic delays in Fayette and Jessamine counties Tuesday.

Meanwhile, pavement milling could slow traffic on another Fayette County road Tuesday.

From 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, alternating lane closures will be in effect between on Military Pike for a half mile between at milepoints 3.3 and 3.8, according to the state. Crews will be milling and paving.

Flaggers will be onsite to guide and direct motorists.

Meanwhile, from 1-4 p.m. Tuesday, Kentucky Transportation Cabinet crews will be working on the inner loop of New Circle Road between mile posts 12.603 and 13 leading to exit 13 at Winchester Road in Fayette County, the agency said in a revised release Monday afternoon.

In Jessamine County, crews will be working northbound on Nicholasville Road at milepoint 8.167 at Wilmore Road/Highway 29.

All work, and closures are scheduled on a tentative basis, and subject to change depending on weather conditions, emergencies, and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
