Sheriff: Look out for Secret Shopper scam

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is warning people about a Secret Shopper scam going around.

According to the sheriff, the scammers want the victim to send a postal money order for $1,000 to be a secret shopper.

They are also asked to buy Amazon gift cards.

While there are legitimate secret shopper jobs, the Better Business Bureau says a payment is never required to become a secret shopper.
