Richmond man arrested, used counterfeit $100

RICHMOND, Ky. (WTVQ) -A Richmond man is in the Madison County Detention Center after officers say he tried to use a phony $100 bill at a restaurant.

Officers say they were called to the Sonic on Big Hill Avenue on Friday, where they say 30-year-old Rodney D. Hendricks tried to purchase 2 milkshakes with the fake money.

According to police, the bill was immediately recognizable as a counterfeit.  Henricks was charged with forgery and taken to the Madison County Detention Center.
