Rex Chapman’s sentencing postponed

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) — Rex Chapman, former Kentucky basketball star, had his sentencing postponed until November.

Chapman was arrested in September of 2014, after investigators say he had stolen from an Apple store in Arizona. Earlier this year, Chapman agreed to pay over $15,000 in restitution, as well as 750 hours of community service, according to the Lexington Herald-Leader.

Once that community service is completed and the restitution paid, officials say his felony charges could be dropped to misdemeanors.
