Record voter turnout across the nation

ABC NEWS – There’s been a record-setting voter turnout today in Kentucky and across the nation.

Citizens waited in long lines to cast their votes, which help decide what comes next for Congress as well as the future for several State Houses.

According to the latest ABC News/Washington Post Poll, voters gave Democrats an eight point advantage over Republicans in taking control of the House. Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi says she is 100-percent sure that will happen.

“We are not going after the Republicans the way they went after us…. [T]he Democrats will have an open, transparent Congress that will strive for bipartisanship,” said Pelosi.

Like the rest of the country, President Trump will probably closely watching the results as they come in the next few hours. The White House says he and the First Lady have invited family and friends over the watch election returns.
