Railroad work to impact traffic in Lexington starting Wednesday

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Work on a railroad crossing in Lexington is scheduled to impact traffic beginning Wednesday, August 5.

According to Lexwrecks, the work will close Thompson Road to thru traffic at the crossing.

Construction is scheduled 24 hours a day and will begin Wednesday. According to Lexwrecks, work is expected to last through Friday.

Drivers can detour using S. Forbes Road between Leestown Road and Manchester Street.
