Police: Two Pedestrians Hit Within Hours Near Busy Lexington Intersection

Lexington police said within five hours, two drivers hit pedestrians near West Loudon and North Broadway.  They said the accidents happened between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.
Police said one man has life-threatening injuries after he was hit by an SUV on North Broadway around 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Officers said they are still investigating the accident but do not believe the driver will be charged.
A second pedestrian was struck on West Loudon in front of Rite Aid around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Police said a woman was hit by a truck while walking across the street.  She was taken to the University of Kentucky Hospital with non life-threatening injuries, according to police.
Officers said weather was a contributing factor in the accident, and the driver is not expected to be charged.
