Police: Man Caught With 101 False Credit Cards

A man faces almost 100 counts of possessing a forged instrument after police said they found fake American Express cards on him.
Jacob Thomas was arrested at Kroger on Leestown Road on Friday while trying to buy multiple gift cars using keyed credit card numbers.
Court documents said Thomas placed Super Glue on the magnetic card strip of 101 American Express cards so the cards would not swipe at the register. He is also accused of having handwritten ledgers with American Express numbers, expiration dates and pin numbers.
Documents said Thomas had a fake driver’s license from Texas.
Police said he is from Detroit, Michigan and was driving a rental car from that state.
