Officials: Two Accidents Creating 14-Mile Backup on I-64
Drivers heading eastbound on I-64 should prepare for a severe traffic delay near the 58 mile marker due to two separate vehicle accidents, according to the Franklin County Sheriff.
We’re told one of the crashes was in a construction area.
Officials report both eastbound lanes of the Interstate have been shut down, creating a traffic backup around 14 miles long.
Drivers are being rerouted onto Versailles Road/U.S. 60 to avoid the accidents.
There’s no word yet as to how many vehicles were involved or the extent of injuries.
