National Traffic Management Responder Training In Danville

The National Traffic Management Responder Training Program gave out four hours worth of tips and scenarios to keep first responders in the bluegrass safe in Danville this morning.

The program’s number one goal is safety, followed by quickly clearing accidents and having fast and reliable communication between emergency workers.

Shane Ratliff, Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Division of Incident Management and Sergeant Pat McBride, Lexington Metro Police Traffic Operations taught the 79th class to be offered in the Bluegrass this year.

They said a crash happens every four minutes in Kentucky and an average of nine workers respond to each accident between tow truck drivers, firefighters, police and EMS.
