Mail and packages stolen in Scott County neighborhoods

SCOTT COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Mail and packages are disappearing around Scott County.

The Scott County Sheriff’s Office says it’s received reports that mail and packagers have been taken in neighborhoods near JB Lear Lane, Skinnersburg Road, Graves Road, Honaker Road, Duvall Station, and White Oak.

Deputies say a couple of piles of discarded mail has been found.

They believe whoever stole it was hoping to find gift cards or cash but instead, found bills and discarded it.

Deputies say one person on Duvall Station reported seeing a small pickup truck stopping at every mailbox about 10 p.m. Sunday.

The sheriff’s office is reviewing surveillance video to get a possible description of the suspect or suspects.
