Lexington Police have new evidence in first of the year shooting

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Police have new evidence Sunday in a shooting from the first of the year.

Officers say around 6 a.m. Sunday they found a car with bullet holes and blood stains in the parking garage at Good Samaritan Hospital.

The car had been there for a while and officers think it was used to get two teens to the hospital on the first.

Then, police told ABC 36 the teens had driven themselves to the hospital around 3 a.mm. after claiming they had been shot near Castlewood Park.

Officers say they didn’t find evidence of a shooting there and the teens haven’t been giving much more information.

Police have impounded the car, though, and will see what evidence they can find in it.
