KSP looking for possible suspect after woman’s body found in well

MONTICELLO, Ky (WTVQ) – State Police are looking for a possible suspect in a homicide case after a woman’s body was found in a well on Friday. Detectives say they’re looking for 29-year old Joseph A. Jones, of Monticello, who was last seen driving a black 2002 Honda Accord with license plate # 684 RPY. State Police say Jones should be considered armed and dangerous.

State Police say the case began with a call about the possible location of a body. Investigators checked it out and say they found a woman dead in a well on Tobar Road in the Brammer Ridge area of Wayne County around 11:00 a.m. on Friday. The Wayne County coroner identified the victim as 28-year old Rachel Jones. An autopsy is scheduled at the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort on Saturday. Investigators hope the autopsy will help them determine a cause and manner of death.
