If you have to work outside, take frequent breaks in the shade and stay hydrated, but avoid drinks with caffeine and alcohol.

Drink water even if you don’t feel thirsty.

It’s also a good idea to wear light clothing and light-colored clothing.

More than 20 people work outside washing and drying cars at Jeff’s Car Wash on Nicholasville Road in Lexington.

The crew takes frequent breaks and drinks water throughout the day while washing an average of 500 cars a day.
