Gov. Bevin under scrutiny for mansion purchase
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ)- We have new information regarding the debate over Governor Matt Bevin’s home.
The city of Anchorage values the Governor’s personal house at a lower worth than the county appraisal that led to an ethics complaint against Bevin.
The Courier-Journal reports officials in Anchorage value the home and land at just over 2 million when county officials valued at almost 3-million.
The Governor bought the home and land for 1.6 million in March from Neil Ramsey, who has donated to the Governor’s campaigns.
A watchdog group has asked a state ethics commission to decide if the sale should be considered a gift from Ramsey to Bevin.
