Furman guard Alex Wilkins commits to Kentucky
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 News Now) — The Kentucky Wildcats have landed their second commitment of the 2026 offseason, as Furman guard Alex Wilkins announced his decision.
Wilkins, a 6-foot-5 freshman for the Paladins in 2025–26, averaged 17.8 points and 4.7 assists per game last season. He was also a member of the All-SoCon Second Team.
He shot 46% from the field and 32.8% from three-point range.
Wilkins is ranked as the No. 41 player in the transfer portal, according to 247Sports, and ultimately chose Kentucky over UConn and Alabama.
He joins Zoom Diallo (Washington) as one of two commits so far in Kentucky’s 2026 transfer portal class.
