#13 Kentucky Baseball falls 8-5 to #12 Vanderbilt in SEC Tournament
HOOVER, Al. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – No. 13 Kentucky Baseball couldn’t hold onto an early lead Tuesday, falling 8-5 to No. 12 Vanderbilt in the opening round of the SEC Tournament.
The Wildcats carried a 4-1 advantage into the sixth inning before the Commodores responded with four runs to take control. Vanderbilt added three more runs in the eighth to pull away.
Kentucky finished with five runs on eight hits while committing two errors in the loss. Tyler Bell and Carson Hansen each hit home runs for the Wildcats.
The Wildcats now are 31-21 overall and will wait six days for their NCAA Tournament fate.
