‘Fill in the hole’ chants heard during rally around Centrepointe

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- ‘Fill in the hole’ was a chant you might’ve heard Saturday if you were around Downtown Lexington, specifically near the troubled, CentrePointe project.

Organizers took to Facebook earlier in the week, harnessing the power of social media to gather folks for a Saturday rally. The group is calling itself the “CentrePointe Bucket Brigade”. In a post on Facebook you can find the following:

The official beginning of the “Centrepointe Bucket Brigade ” Fill in the Hole. Bring your own bucket with some Lexington dirt and we’ll start to fill in the hole since no one else seems to know what to do with it. Our motto is, “Changing the World, One Bucket at a Time”.

This event will take place every Saturday until the Hole is full! Take back our city!!”

Organizers acknowledge they’ll not be bringing any dirt with them or tossing any over the fence which is clearly marked that doing so is not permitted.
