Eric Conn pleads not guilty to escape charges

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- One day after being sent back to the U.S. from Honduras, fugitive lawyer Eric Conn has pleaded not guilty to charges related to his escape.

For the first time in more than six months, Conn stood in front of a federal judge, this time wearing a yellow prison jumpsuit.

Conn pleaded not guilty to four charges related to his escape.

This comes just four days after he was arrested at a Pizza Hut in Honduras.

Conn who pleaded guilty to orchestrating a more than $500 billion social security fraud scheme went missing back in June after the FBI says he cut off his electronic monitor.

Conn has now begun serving the twelve year sentence he was given while still on the run.

He will stand trial for these new charges in February.
