Emergency shelter open in Rowan County for storm victims
MOREHEAD, Ky. (WTVQ) – Dozens of homes were damaged and vehicles washed-away during flash flooding along US 60 in Rowan County on Monday, according to Kentucky Emergency Management.
Authorities say up to 70-homes were flooded or damaged in some way during the storm. A temporary shelter for storm victims was set up at the Carl D. Perkins Center at 1550 Divide Hill in Morehead.
