Closure and intermittent stops scheduled for Versailles Road

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The outbound left/fast lane of Versailles Road in Lexington is scheduled to be closed at mile point 4.699 from 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 23 until 7:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 24, according to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.

During that same time period, outbound Versailles Road traffic will be temporarily stopped for intervals of 15-to-30 minutes at mile point 4.699 to allow construction crews to complete the next span of girders to be placed on the flyover ramp.

Motorists are strongly encouraged to use alternate routes. A reduced speed limit of 45 MPH will be in effect at all times, according to the state.
