City of Lexington activate emergency winter plan

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The city of Lexington activated its emergency winter plan.

They say the plan will remain in effect through Monday.

It’s activated anytime the temperature is expected to fall below 32 degrees so people experiencing homelessness in Lexington have warm, secure shelter.

The plan includes expanded shelter services and free transportation to shelters.
