Bear hunts, singing teachers, and parades…welcome to ‘school’

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Bear hunts are popping up everywhere and teachers are taking to the microphone to show off their creative side.

And call it social-distancing with a twist, but parades are becoming a thing. School staffs and teachers are loading up decorated cars and riving through neighborhoods where their students live, honking and singing and shouting to connect, even if from a distance, with their students during this prolonged coronavirus break.

Thursday morning, it was Ashland Elementary staff parading through the Kenwick, Corral Street and other neighborhoods that feed the school. They were greeted by students and parents waving from sidewalks.
