Kam Williams staying at Kentucky for 2026-27 season
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – Kentucky guard Kam Williams will return next season, providing a bright spot for Big Blue Nation amid multiple transfer portal departures Tuesday afternoon.
The 6-foot-8 guard averaged 6.0 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.0 assist in 18.5 minutes per game this past season. He appeared in 24 games and made seven starts.
Williams broke his foot in Kentucky’s 85-80 win over Texas before returning in the first round of the SEC Tournament against LSU.
Kentucky has lost five players to the transfer portal: Andrija Jelavic, Mo Dioubate, Brandon Garrison, Jasper Johnson and Jaland Lowe. The Wildcats have lost six players if Denzel Aberdeen is included.
