No. 20 Kentucky downs No. 21 Louisville in the Battle for the Bluegrass

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – The Kentucky women’s basketball team won the Battle of the Bluegrass for the second straight season with a 72–62 victory over the Cardinals.

Tonie Morgan was the star of the show for the Wildcats, scoring 19 points, grabbing five rebounds, and dishing out seven assists. Clara Strack and Teonni Key each added 17 points while combining for 18 rebounds. Kentucky outrebounded Louisville 41–27.

The Wildcat defense was also stellar, totaling eight blocks, including four from Teonni Key.

Kentucky will now head to Puerto Rico to take on No. 9 Maryland in the Puerto Rico Shootout on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. The game will be broadcast on FloSports.
