New Additions to La Familia
LEXINTGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 SPORTS) – La Familia has added two key players ahead of The Basketball Tournament (TBT) regional, which it will host at Historic Memorial Coliseum from July 18–23.
On Monday, the team announced the addition of recent 2025 Kentucky graduate Ansley Almonor, who played his final collegiate season with the Wildcats after transferring from Fairleigh Dickinson University. In his lone season at Kentucky, he appeared in all 36 games and made seven starts. Almonor etched his name into the record books as the first player in program history to shoot at least 50% from the field, 40% from three-point range, and 90% from the free-throw line in a season.
It was announced on Friday that Archie Goodwin is also joining the squad. Goodwin played one season at Kentucky in 2012–13. A one-and-done at Kentucky, Goodwin started all 33 games during his freshman campaign and led the Wildcats in scoring with 14.1 points per game, earning SEC All-Freshman Team honors before moving on to the NBA.
