Travis Perry decides to transfer from Kentucky
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW)- The Commonwealth’s all-time leading high school scorer and 2024 Sweet Sixteen Champion Travis Perry is transferring from Kentucky men’s basketball, according to reports from multiple outlets.
Perry is the second player to transfer from UK this offseason, with Kerr Kriisa being the first. He leaves after playing his freshman season with the Wildcats, in which he played 31 games averaging 2.7 points, 0.8 rebounds, and 0.6 assists in 9.8 minutes per game. He shot 31.3% from the field and 32.1% from beyond the arc.
Following his entry into the transfer portal, Ole Miss has emerged as a strong contender for Perry’s recruitment. Head coach Chris Beard, who had previously shown interest in Perry during his high school recruitment, is reportedly still keen on adding him to the Rebels’ roster.
