Tornado Watch for the Lexington metro area until 4am Friday morning
Damaging winds will be the primary threat although an isolated spin-up tornado can't be ruled out.
With a cold front diving through the Ohio Valley into early Friday, there is the threat for some strong to severe storms. A Tornado Watch is out for the Lexington metro area and points to the north and west until 4am Eastern time Friday morning. Damaging winds will be the primary threat but some hail and a isolated spin-up tornado can’t be ruled out. Make sure to have a way to be alerted during the overnight hours in case a warning is issued. Leave cellphone volumes up and if you have a NOAA weather radio make sure it is in alert mode.
