Help for the homeless in cold weather

Boyle County Emergency Management said it will activate a shelter Wednesday starting at 8 p.m. through Thursday morning at 8 a.m.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) Several state and city crews are on duty, working to keep roads clear.

In Lexington, the city says crews will keep treating roads as long as the winter weather continues.

As for the cold temperatures, the city has activated its emergency weather plan, meaning shelters are making room for people who need a warm place to stay.
